About Us

Little Blossom Day Nursery is a privately-run nursery, accredited by OFSTED, offering care for children ranging from 3 months to 5 years old. For siblings of our enrolled children, we also offer a comprehensive after-school program that accommodates kids up to 8 years old. Established in 2008, we proudly hold a "GOOD" rating from OFSTED. In partnership with the Local Education Authority's Early Years Team, we adhere to the standards of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our core philosophy is to prioritize the needs of every child, ensuring they learn and grow through play.

Our Mission

Little Blossom Day Nursery is dedicated to delivering top-notch childcare and education within a diverse, safe, and secure setting. We aim to foster an environment where parents can wholeheartedly trust that their child's well-being is our utmost priority.

Where children's needs come first

Little Blossom Day Nursery operates from 8 am to 6 pm. We remain closed on bank holidays, for a week in the summer for intensive staff training (inset days), and for 5 working days during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Parents and guardians will receive advance notice of these closure dates.

Our nursery is licensed to provide early years and childcare services for up to 26 children in a single session. Both full-time and part-time placements are available. Part-time schedules can be either 2 or 3 full days each week. Emphasizing the importance of healthy nutrition, we ensure that freshly prepared meals, fruits, and healthy snacks are provided daily. Packed lunches are permitted only under the following circumstances:

  • Specific dietary needs of the child.

  • During all-day outings.

  • For cultural and religious considerations.

The nursery is thoughtfully organized into two primary sections:

1. **Baby Section (Ground Floor)**: This section, located on the ground floor, caters to infants ranging from 3 months to 24 months of age.

2. **Over 2 Years Section (First Floor)**: This section is for children between the ages of 2 and 5, further split into:

**Toddlers Group**: Specifically for children aged 2 to 3 years old.

**Pre-school Group**: Designed for kids aged 3 to 5 years old. Both these groups have their dedicated rooms on the first floor.

Facility details:

  • The kitchen area can be found on the ground floor.

  • Both the administrative office for the nursery and a separate break room for staff are situated on the second floor.

Our Objective

Little Blossom Day Nursery is deeply committed to recognising and valuing each child as a unique individual. Our goal is to nurture their growth – educationally, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually – irrespective of any Special Educational Needs (SEN) or disabilities they might have.  Providing quality care and education for all children who attend the nursery,  through child initiated and adult led play activities in a caring, safe, welcoming, relaxed-stimulating and orderly environment. The diversity of social and cultural backgrounds of the community and all children, parents/carers and families are valued and respected. Partnering with parents and giving equal opportunity for each child regardless of the age, race, culture class, ability and disability.

Our Aims

  1. We aim to provide care and education in a happy and safe environment, with opportunities for exploration and discovery.

  2. An environment where we can nurture children’s self-esteem and encourage their development in all spheres while learning through play by providing suitable activities for their needs.

  3. The children role models through the adult’s behaviour to enhance positive attitudes.

  4. An environment of equal opportunities, developing anti-racist and anti-sexist attitudes, to challenge all discrimination by encouraging recognition and acceptance of people’s differences within our society and to develop their personal, social and emotional skills.

Our Values

We cherish our bond with parents and carers, actively encouraging their ideas, suggestions, and involvement within the nursery.

It's our duty to address the developmental needs of every child in our care. To best serve these needs, we collaborate with external multi-agencies.

Above all, we honor the individuality of each child. Through play and learning, we promote self-expression, self-discipline, and confidence.
